Gabriel comes home!

This is a very special weekend for the city of Philadelphia.

First, by some miracle, the Philadelphia Eagles are one game away from going to the Super Bowl. Being a Philly girl, I can tell you that this is something that is taken very seriously in this town, and the city is a blur of white and green.

Secondly, today, Philadelphia is welcoming President-elect Barack Obama on his whistle stop journey to Washington DC. Whether you are from a red State, or a blue State, you have to admit that this week will be monumental event in our Nations history.

Now for the third, and most important Philly event, today little Gabriel makes his journey from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to the lovely suburbs of Philadelphia, where he will meet his new family.

Gabriel has a number of firsts in store for him today; he is going to be on an airplane for the first time, he is going to meet his Mom for the first time, meet his numerous siblings for the first time, and get his first taste of a Pennsylvania winter.

With all of these first experiences going on, we thought it might be nice for Gabriel to get his official IAN welcome from two familiar faces. You see, Gabriel had two very special friends at Sele Enat orphanage, who made the journey to their forever home in Colorado last August. These three little boys have missed each other greatly over the months, and today they will finally have a cyber reunion. So, without further delay....here are Kedus and Nate with a special message...

New Fall Look

I hope everyone likes the new fall background. I'm having some issues adding our blog links, but I'm working on it.

Happy Fall Season!!

Melekamu McDreamy

What has the little girls of the IAN family screaming, crying, and fainting??? That's right....it is the arrival of our blog's first male heart throb, Melekamu.
Melekamania began on August 31st when he first stepped foot on U.S. soil. Tigerbeat Magazine was there to cover his arrival, and had this to say:

"The scene was pure pandemonium! We haven't seen anything of this magnitude since the Beatles arrived at JFK in 1964!"

Anonymous sources say that Melekamu fever is causing rifts among our IAN family. It is reported that former BFF's Amelia Howlett (founder and president of the Melekamu fan club, CO Chapter) and Gabre Reeves (founder and president of the Melekamu fan club, TX Chapter) are feuding over who will present Melekamu with keys to the city of Boulder. Hopefully, these little ladies can come to a compromise, and harmony will return to the blog world.

The arrival of this superstar has also caused some controversy among the parents of his adoring fans. Moms and Dads are up in arms over the fact that Melekamu is so much younger than his legion of followers. Lidia Rodda, advocate of May/December relationships and author of "I am Cougar; Hear Me Roar," claims that parents have nothing to worry about. She cites the relationship of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher as an example of how, when it comes to love, age is just a stage of mind.

To follow the adventures of this little celebrity, check out The Story of Us blog.
